On Tuesday, September 29th, the Loveland ELK's Lodge BPOE 1051 Veteran's Committee hosted a cookout honoring local service members, funded by an Elks Freedom Grant. The event brought together more than 300 Veterans, their spouses, and staff at the Northern Colorado VA Clinic for a freshly cooked meal.
This festive gathering follows another recent initiative by the committee. Earlier this month, volunteers assembled 75 backpacks stocked with essential items for the clinic's VA HUD-VASH team, which supports unhoused Veterans. The team will distribute these backpacks to local homeless Veterans during community outreach efforts
